Support for Teens Managing Life Changes.
Helping young people build respectful relationships and navigate life's challenges safely.
A safe, entirely confidential space for young people to be heard.
Being a teenager today comes with an intense set of pressures. From academic stress and social media dynamics to identity exploration and emotional overwhelm, it’s easy for young people to feel completely misunderstood or isolated.
Our youth counselling at Northspan Wellbeing provides teenagers with a private, independent space to talk openly about what’s going on in their lives. We focus on building genuine trust, helping them make sense of complex emotions, and teaching them practical coping mechanisms to build lifelong resilience and self-confidence.

What to Expect
Frequently Asked Questions
Is what my teenager says kept confidential from me?
Yes. Trust is essential in youth therapy. Conversations remain entirely confidential between the teen and their counsellor, unless there is a serious safety risk to themselves or others. We actively encourage and coach teens on how to safely share parts of their journey with parents. How do I get my teen to agree to come?
Frame it as a collaboration, not a punishment. Let them know it is a completely neutral zone where they can complain, vent, and figure things out with someone who isn't a parent or school teacher. Are appointments available after school hours?
Yes, we offer late afternoon and evening clinic spaces, as well as online sessions, to ensure therapy doesn't interfere with their education.
